From 1st April 2015 GP practices have been required to allocate a named accountable GP to all patients. The named GP will be responsible for a patient’s overall care at the practice. Although we consider every patient to be registered with the practice as a whole and therefore free to see the doctor of their choice not just their named GP.
New patients registering from 1st April 2016 onwards will be informed of their named GP at the point of registration.
If you were registered with Parkside before 1st April 2015 and were aged over 75 or are part of the Unplanned Emergency Admissions service you will have already been allocated a named accountable GP and will have received a letter notifying you of your named GP.
You can contact the practice to find out who your named GP is and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a request to change your named GP if you wish to do so.
